‘Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches’ was Happy Mondays commercial peak, both a No.4 chart victory and a benchmark album in history. That year the ‘Mondays made a generation feel like the freaks were winning again, the dreamers and schemers hurtling in from the shadows to park themselves, like grin-faced goblins, in the daylight glare of the mainstream. Artwork lovingly replicated by original Manchester designers Central Station Design. Featured the singles “Step On”, “Kinky Afro” and “Loose Fit”.
