Pixies – Doolittle
The Pixies have had a career unlike any other in alternative rock, disappearing as not-quite-the-next-big-things only to become gods in absentia. “Doolittle” is their knotty masterpiece, the embodiment of the Pixies’ abrasive, exuberant, enigmatic pop.
“AS LOUD AS HELL…” Though they had already made their mark with Surfer Rosa, Doolittle cemented The Pixies as one of the most interesting and dynamic bands in indie rock. An important record, included among the many plaudits thrown Doolittle’s way was Pitchfork ranking it at Number 4 in their Best Albums of the 80s poll, while NME writers in 2004 named it their Second Best Album of All Time.
